Is Learn Cornish free?
Yes — the Learn Cornish app is free to use on Android, iOS, web and desktop. This resource hub is also free. Many of the external resources we link to are also free; paid options are clearly tagged.
Do I need to live in Cornwall to use the site?
No. Most of the apps, courses, podcasts, dictionaries and textbooks we link to are accessible from anywhere. In-person classes are obviously Cornwall-based, but Zoom classes and the online community are open to everyone.
Which dialect / orthography does Learn Cornish teach?
The in-app course uses the Standard Written Form (SWF) — Akademi Kernewek's canonical written Cornish. We link out to resources in Kernowek Standard (KS), Unified Cornish and Kernewek Kemmyn where relevant, so learners can compare.
Can I use Learn Cornish with my class?
Yes — the app has teacher tools including class management, student groups, assignments and shared progress. See /learn/for-schools for school-focused resources beyond our own app.
How do I suggest a resource or event?
Email hello@learncornish.org. We curate links to first-party resources only (no aggregator homepages), so the more specific the link the better.
